Chorley firm's French connection! French Work Experience
A French student swapped life in Brittany for an eight-week sabbatical at a car dealership in the North West of England.
Clement Marsollat, an 18-year-old student from a leading Business School in Nantes, has just spent two months with The Chorley Group, where he learnt all about life in the motor trade.
"It’s been a great experience," said Clement, who arranged the placement through an international organisation called Nacel, which specialises in language, cultural and student exchange programmes. See their website: www.nacel.org
"I got to see all aspects of the motor trade during my time here. One of the main things I learnt was the value of good customer service.
"I also found the people of Chorley were very friendly, and my English has certainly improved over the last eight weeks."
Andy Turner, managing director of The Chorley Group, which has Nissan, Fiat, Hyundai and Kia dealerships accross the North West, added: "Young people are the future, which is why we actively support various work placement schemes, both in England and abroad, when possible.
"It was a pleasure to have Clement with us. He demonstrated a great willingness to learn during his time here."
Note from the editor - I hope that some of that customer service experience will make it back to France! If you don't want to travel too far then try these people for Stages Anglais en France
