Exhibition organized by the Dinan Museum and located at the Bibliothèque Municipale, 20 rue Waldeck Rousseau. The English Colony tells the story of the hundreds of British, Irish, North American and even Australian men and women who made the choice to spend part of their life in Dinan, attracted by the medicinal virtues of the mineral waters of the Fontaine-des-Eaux, the mild climate of Brittany and a low cost of living that allowed them to live in beautiful homes, surrounded by servants. There is also a collection of paintings and prints by the hand of British artists. Open on Tuesday (14:00 - 18:15), Wednesday (10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 18:15), Friday (10:00 - 18:15) and Saturday (10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 17:15).
