The Rospico Gardens - Jardins de Rospico

The gardens consists of hedges of shrubs and trees, camellias, rhododendrons and ceanothus around the edge of the garden. The beds are full of perennial plants, shrubs and trees, mixing common species and rare ones (there are more than 2000 species and 30,000 plants in all).

Abbaye de Daoulas

The botanical gardens are filled with medicinal plants. Inspired by traditions of the Middle Ages, the split-level garden is home to 250 different varieties of herbs, therapeutic, aromatic and exotic plants.  In addition to the gardens, the site has 5 hectares of grounds to enjoy, featuring a lake, an old wash house, a sheepfold and even sheep from the isle of Ouessant. Disabled facilities and reception.

Conservatoire botanique national de Brest

The National Botanical Reserve of Brest contains around 1,700 endangered species of plants, which are all grown and cultivated in the reserve’s greenhouses. It is dedicated to the protection and growth of endangered species from around the world.  Open throughout the year “Green day” is on May 1st and has plants on sale, themed exhibitions also take place on certain days. Located at 52 Allée du Bot in Brest.  Opening hours: Daily: 09.00 - 19:00.

Arboretum du Poërop et jardin de l'Argoat

One of the most important botanical gardens in Brittany.  The arboretum contains about 3,600 types of trees and shrubs from five continents.  Andean and Himalayan plants are strongly represented, primarily by specimens grown from seeds collected in situ. The garden contains collections of maple (150 varieties), oak (170), pine (100), rhododendron (230), magnolia (160), and roses (200). It also contains about 100 bamboos from Asia, the Americas, and Africia, as well as a forest of eucalyptus and other trees from Australia. Its ethnobotanical garden contains sixteen beds of medicinal plants from the Himalayas.  Closed bank holidays.

Jardin exotique & botanique de Roscoff

Contains about 3,350 species of sub-tropical plants, an 18m-high rock offering a panoramic view of the Bay of Morlaix, waterfalls and ponds hosting tortoises, planted out with cactus, rockeries, agaves and aloes.  Collections include acaciaagavealoecactusechiumeucalyptusPelargonium geranium, fuchsia, palms, passiflora, and yucca. It is open daily; an admission fee is charged.

Parc et Jardins du Château de Lanniron

The chateau was formerly the summer residence of the bishops of Quimper. It is situated on the banks of L'Odet river and is surrounded by 17th century gardens and 3 terraces stepping down to the river. Inspired by visits to Versailles, Monseigneur de Coetlogon (Bishop of Quimper from 1668 to 1706) started to develop the gardens.  It is Situated about 3km from Qiumper center view magnificient gardens created in the "french design" style and a botanical collection.
